Om Prakash Chautala (born January 1, 1935) is the leader of the I.N.L.D. (Indian National Lok Dal), a Harayana based political party in India. He was also the former Chief Minister of the state. However, in the 2005 Haryana state assembly elections the INLD lost its majority, winning just 9 out of the 90 seats compared to the Congress party's 67 seats. Chautala resigned and Bhupinder Singh Hooda became the Chief Minister of Haryana.

In the Assembly elections of October 2009, he contested from two seats (Elanabad and Uchana Kalan) and won from both. His party INLD got 31 seats in the Assembly while Congress got 40 seats.
Chautala is the son of Chaudhary Devi Lal, a former deputy prime minister of India. He belongs to Asiagh Jat Gotra.
Mr.Chautala is the Jat leader at present, who favoured jats in Haryana and uplifted jats, employed jats in govt. jobs, because no other C.M. ever employed jats in govt. jobs. And it is a fact that Mr.Bhajan Lal, former C.M. Haryana ordered that EMPLOY ANY ONE, other than JATS. Mr.Om Prakash Chautala did justice to Jats and employed Jats in govt.up to the level that no other Jat C.M. can do.
