Hooda-Yadav rift widens
Chandigarh: THE war of wits between Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his detractor, power minister Captain Ajay Singh Yadav, flared up again on Thursday after the chief minister canceled his visit to Rewari for a function organised by Yadav.
Yadav, Rewari MLA, said he had no idea why the CM could not reach the venue where an ROB was to be inaugurated. He refused to comment any further.
Sources, however, claimed that other than going for the function, Hooda had planned several meetings with local Congress leaders — majority of whom were against Yadav.
According to sources close to the power minister, Yadav — taking this as a move by the chief minister to gather support against him — contacted the Congress high command, which reportedly intervened. It asked Hooda not to hold meetings with other party leaders. This, however, seems to have led to the chief minister to cancel the entire visit.
