Rewari, Jul 1 (PTI) Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo and former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala today slammed the Congress regime in the state saying there was no government worth its name. Describing the murder of Karam Singh, sarpanch of Kambopura village in Karnal district on June 7, as a blot on the state government, he demanded immediate arrest of former minister Om Prakash Jain and the then Chief Parliamentary Secretary Zile Ram Sharma, allegedly involved in the case. Referring to the murder of Rakesh, sarpanch of Hayatpur village in Gurgaon district, who was shot dead by motor cycle-borne armed miscreants on June 23, the former chief minister asked as to why the guilty was going scot free. Chautala told reporters that if the "misrule" of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda regime persisted, many such heinous acts would keep taking place.

A man, who tried to cheat his employer of Rs 5 lakh by alleging that it was snatched from him, was arrested after police recovered CCTV footage that showed otherwise. According to police, the accused wanted to use the money for reviving his cyber cafe business.
Amit Saini (27), working as a marketing assistant with an interior decoration firm in Karol Bagh, was arrested following a probe into his claims that Rs 5 lakh belonging to his employer was snatched from him by unidentified persons, DCP (Central) Vivek Kishore said.
Saini, a B Com degree holder, used to run a cybercafe, but had to shut it down after incurring losses. Following that, he had taken up employment at the firm. “He misappropriated Rs 5 lakh, so he could start his cybercafe business again,” Kishore said.
Saini, hailing from Rewari in Haryana, rang up the Police Control Room around 1.45 pm on Saturday, claiming that two motorcyclists had snatched Rs 5 lakh from him. “We decided to check the footage from a CCTV camera installed in the area, and found that Saini had come there without his bag. He confessed to his crime during questioning,” Kishore said.
