Chandigarh, November 8– The Finance and Irrigation Minister, Haryana, Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav today laid the foundation stone of the new building of District Primary Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, Rewari.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that the building would be completed in a period of one-and-a-half year at a cost of Rs 90 lakh. The bank would be fully computerised and it would cater to the needs of the farmers. It would be the first bank of Haryana in cooperative sector, where all facilities would be available to the farmers.
He assured the Haryana State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank to provide a loan of Rs 300 crore to enable it to give various loans to the farmers. He also urged the members to repay their loans on time. The Haryana Government was providing a rebate of five per cent to those persons who repay their loans on time and as such loan was available to the farmers at an effective rate of interest of six per cent. The members should avail this scheme by repaying their loans on time.
Welcoming the Minister, Mr Rattan Rao Sher Singh, Director, Manethi Branch of the Bank called upon the members of the bank to repay their loans on time. The timely payment of loans would improve the economic condition of the bank enabling it to provide loans to more people.
