In another incident that would put the Indian security forces to shame, a Border Security Force (BSF) Jawan was found to be involved in a human trafficking case, of a girl from India’s North East state of Mizoram.
The victim, a minor girl from Mizoram was rescued from Rewari, Haryana through a joint rescue operation conducted by Mizoram Police and NGOs Shakti Vahini (Delhi) and CHAN (Mizoram). Five traffickers have been identified so far.
From investigations and interrogations of the culprits, it has been learnt that it was one Satyawan Yadav, a BSF personnel serving at SHQ, Aizawl took the Mizoram girl to his own village at Alwar district of Rajasthan and was helped by his brother, Raju Yadav. Later the Yadav brothers sold the minor girl for a price of Rs. 90,000 from which BSF Jawan Satyawan Yadav pocketed Rs. 50,000 himself.
On the other hand, a criminal case was registered at Aizawl after the girl went missing and after a series of investigations the joint rescue team was able to find the girl on the night of 12th September. The minor girl, by then was already re-sold to some other people, namely Ram Yadav and Dinesh Kumar Yadav for a fake marriage.
The NGOs from Delhi and Mizoram who leaded the rescue along with Mizoram police confirmed that the victim, the minor girl has been produced before the chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee and been transferred safely back home.
