Rewari (Har), Sep 22 (PTI) Former Union minister and ruling Congress MP from Gurgaon, Rao Inderjit Singh, today hit out at the bureaucracy in Haryana, saying it was functioning in an unbridled manner. Singh, a known detractor of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said, "The officialdom (bureaucracy) in Haryana has gained such dominance that even an MP (referring to himself) of the ruling party has been reduced to a non-entity in matters of governance what to speak of the common man." At a press conference, he said while the Gurgaon Municipal Corporation had an annual budget to the tune of over Rs 600 crore, its mayor did not have the liberty to get a work costing even Rs one crore, carried out in public interest. Haryana Congress spokesman Ved Prakash Vidrohi and Gurgaon District Congress Committee (Urban) Chief G L Sharma were also present at the press meet.
